You will want to choose your Halloween Party theme according to the age range of your guests – what is suitable for teens will not be suitable for toddlers, but any of the theme party idea below can be adapted to suit the required age range.
Classic Halloween Costume Party
This theme is simple and classic .
Ask your guests to dress as whichever character they choose and have prizes for the most inventive and original.
The list is endless with this one – it gives your guests more freedom of choice, but also makes it more difficult for them to decide, because there are so many wonderful costumes out there.

Witches, Wizards and Sorcerers
Everyone must dress as a halloween witch or a wizard for this party theme. Easy one to plan – you must have a cauldron (or two) ‘bubbling’, as your centrepiece.
Vampires Party
Halloween Vampires are always a popular choice particularly for your teens who consider theme ‘cool’.
So your guests could come as a classic vampire or one from a film. Make sure you put that on the invitations. The room should be dark and gloomy, and very goth like.
Horror Movie Party
Host an evening of horror films – this theme is definitely for the older kids. You can have horror movies playing all evening – classic and modern – with your guests dressing as a character from their favorite horror movie.
Halloween Monsters
Everyone should dress as a classic monster for this one.
Monsters such as Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, not the more modern ones though such as Freddy Krueger – (leave that for the Horror Movie theme)

Zombies – the living dead party
This can be great fun for all ages, and can bring out some truly horrific sights! Your guests will be able to wear old tattered clothing, and deathly looking make up.
Haunted house
This theme means turning your house into a haunted house for the evening. Inside and out with lanterns in the drive, ghostly figures in the trees, to white sheets over the furniture inside.
Mummies Party
This is great fun! Everyone dresses as a mummy, and you can imagine the funny sights, when the bandages start to unravel!
The fun part of this is you are never sure who is who.
Give prizes for the best mummy or the scariest mummy.
You could theme your room in an egyptian style, and use mummy themed tableware.
Evil clowns
There is something quite spooky about clowns for many people, and we all know many people who are really afraid of them.
So for this theme everyone must come as an evil clown.
Your décor theme should be bright and carnival like but menacing.
Pirates Party
Great them for young kids and teens!
Guests come dressed as swash buckling pirates or pirate wenches.
It is easy to find pirate party supplies.
A treasure chest is a must for your centrepiece for this theme
